Branded Content Marketplace

Instagram’s Branded Content Marketplace is the platform’s first move to enter the brand-influencer collaboration market. This tool will help brands discover and hire emerging influencers and creators whose reach is the perfect fit for their target audience.

Zuckerberg shared that this tool could help emerging talents make money. No further details have been revealed regarding the deal’s structure, but the Facebook CEO mentioned that the tool would offer highly favorable terms to influencers and creators. The new tools could significantly change the way influencers and creators monetize their following on Instagram.

Many of the platform’s biggest stars are already forming partnerships with various brands and running online shops. However, those deals mostly happen outside the platform, making it difficult for less famous stars to make money. Bringing these tools into the platform could make it easier for influencers to land deals and earn money. Here’s how you can grow your Instagram page in a minute.

Affiliate Commerce

Aside from the Branded Content Marketplace, the platform has also announced a new affiliate program for creators and influencers. Through this feature, creators and influencers can earn commissions when they generate product sales from a partner brand.

The brands will set the rate. Affiliate Commerce will also have a label, so users will know that whatever they purchased from the shop will support the influencer or creator financially.

Zuckerberg revealed that the tool would allow creators to find new products that are offered on Checkout. In addition, this tool will make it easier for them to share the merchandise with their followers to earn a commission for every purchase they drive on Instagram.

Creator Shops

The main goal of this feature is to make it easier for users to purchase directly from creators and influencers on Instagram. In addition, this feature allows creators and influencers to sell their products on Instagram by setting up a new shop or adding an existing store to their profile.

There are two ways to do this. First, those who already have a shop can link their store to their business and personal Instagram profile and start selling right away. Second, creators can also set up their shops through the platform.

They only need to link their account to one of the platform’s merchandise partners — Represent, Spring, Bravado/UMG, and Fanjoy. This new feature will be available to eligible creators and influencers in the United States by the end of this year.

Conclusion

These new monetization features will help creators save time and effort and make more money on the platform. Instagram has not yet announced the release date of these features, but content creators can look forward to new developments that will support them financially.
